Carriage Slams Into Service Station After Installing Firmware v1.30 or earlier.

A.    To produce faster output, the TechJET Color 53xx GT series plotter uses
      a different gear ratio than the earlier 53xx models. Consequently, the
      53xx GT series plotters must use firmware that is 1.40 or later.

B.    If a PostScript option is purchased containing the 1:30PS firmware
      diskette, and it is downloaded into the 53xx GT series plotter, the
      plotter will not operate correctly. To remedy this problem,  obtain the
      latest firmware (1:40 or higher) from the CalComp Web site
      http://www.calcomp.com and download the newer firmware into the plotter.
      Once the newer firmware has been downloaded into the plotter, the problem
      will be solved.
