What driver to use for their system or application.

What driver to use for their system or application.
A. For AutoCAD prior to version 12 and all Non-Windows based programs:
1. There are no new drivers to install. In general, use a 907/PCI
driver selection such as a CalComp 104x, 102x, 2024, or 2036,
plotter driver.
2. An HPGL driver selection may also be used. The plotter supports:
HPGL-L (HP7595, HP7580B, and HP7585B), and HPGL-S (HP 7440)
formats.
B. For AutoCAD 12 or 13 (DOS, Windows or Windows NT):
1. Drivers and documentation is available on the CalComp website
(http://www.calcomp.com). The files are self-extracting.
Once downloaded, simply type the file name, and it will self-
extract, producing the documentation and driver files.
a. File name: PLPCCGUI.EXE for AutoCAD 12 or 13 DOS or
Windows (3.x, 95, or NT).
C. For AutoCAD 14 Windows 95 or Windows NT):
1. Use the ADI driver that comes with your AutoCAD program. However, if
you experience difficulty with certain pen commands, you may
download and use the file PLPCCGUI.EXE. Drivers and
documentation are available on the CalComp website
(http://www.calcomp.com).
The file is self-extracting. Once downloaded, simply type the file
name, and it will self-extract, producing the documentation and
driver files.
D. For Windows 3.x based programs, including ACAD LT:
1. Use the CalComp Windows Driver. The file is available from the
CalComp website site (http://www.calcomp.com), file name:
WIN31DRV.EXE). The file is self-extracting. Once downloaded,
simply type the file name, and it will self-extract, producing
the documentation and driver files.
a. The driver supports the CCRF raster format, when using the
parallel port. This is the preferred format.
b. The driver also supports the PCI vector data format for
this plotter. If plotter can only be connected serially,
then use this driver.
2. An HPGL Windows driver selection may also be used. The plotter
supports: HPGL-L (HP7595, HP7580B, and HP7585B), and HPGL-S (HP
7440) formats. The HPGL drivers were included as a part of the
Windows software. CalComp does not distribute HPGL drivers.
E. For Windows 95-based programs, including ACAD LT:
1. Use the CalComp Windows 95 Driver. The file is available from the
CalComp website site (http://www.calcomp.com), file name:
WIN95DRV.EXE). The file is self-extracting. Once downloaded,
simply type the file name, and it will self-extract, producing
the documentation and driver files.
a. This driver supports only the CCRF raster format, when using the
parallel port. This is the preferred format.
b. For PCI vector data use the file WIN95VEC.EXE for
this plotter. If plotter can only be connected serially,
then use this driver.
F. For Windows NT based programs:
1. The Windows NT raster driver is available from the CalComp
website site (http://www.calcomp.com), file name:
WINNT350.EXE for Windows NT 3.5
NT351X86.EXE for Win NT 3.51 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from hard disk.
NT351D86.EXE for Win NT 3.51 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from floppy diskette.
NT40X86.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from hard disk.
NT40D86.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from floppy diskette.
NT40AL.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on DEC/Alpha.
a. The file is self-extracting. Once downloaded, simply type the
file name, and it will self-extract, producing the
documentation and driver files.
b. The README.TXT file once extracted from the EXE file, contains
the necessary setup information.
2. An HPGL/2 driver selection may be used. The plotter emulates the
HP 7600 model.
G. For Macintosh-based systems:
If the plotter has the internal PostScript compatable option installed,
use the standard Laserwriter driver that comes with the Macintosh
operating system.
1. The plotter is shipped with an installation diskette. If a
replacement is necessary, it is available on the CalComp website
site (http://www.calcomp.com). The file name is: SOLUSPPD.HQX.
The file is self-extracting. Simply double-click on the file name
icon and it will create the documentation and driver files.
Included are the neccessary PPD files. Use the MacBinary file
