Plotter displays: INITIALIZING when attempting to output PostScript data.

A.    If, when attempting to send PostScript data to the plotter, the plotter
      displays INITIALIZING, the firmware needs to be reloaded. Perform the 
      following steps:
      
      1.   The plotter has flash ROM firmware that may easily be upgraded. 
            The most recent firmware is available from the CalComp Web site
            (http://www.calcomp.com). The filename is in the following format:
 
            5500_xxx.EXE

            where xxx represents the firmware version.

      2.    The file is self-extracting. Type the file name to produce the 
            documentation instructions and firmware file.
