AutoCAD aborts after configuring/installing the TechJET Personal AutoCAD

A. Occasionally a problem occurs when this driver is first installed after
which AutoCAD will crash. Usually, if the configuration default
selections for this driver can be viewed, the default number of copies
will be some unusually large number. In other cases the program
crashes before you get to that point. Perform the following:
1. At the command prompt in AutoCAD, type CONFIG.
2. Select each configuration selection (video display, digitizer,
system console, operating parameters) and write the settings down
on a piece of paper.
3. Quit from AutoCAD. Change directory to the ACAD directory, by
typing: CD \ACAD for AutoCAD 12/DOS or CD \ACADWIN for AutoCAD
12/Windows.
4. The ACAD.CFG file, which contains the AutoCAD configuration
settings, has become corrupted. Rename the file by typing: REN
ACAD.CFG ACAD.XFG.
5. Restart AutoCAD and use the settings that were written down to
recreate a new ACAD.CFG file.
6. When configuring the plotters, first configure only the CalComp
TechJET Personal plotter driver, bring up a test drawing, and
plot out a drawing to verify that the problem is corrected
before adding any other plotter/printer drivers that you may
have.
