What Driver to use for their System or Application.

A. For AutoCAD prior to version 12 and all DOS-based programs:

      1. There are no new drivers to install. In general, use a 907/PCI
driver selection such as a CalComp 104x, 102x plotter driver.

      2. An HPGL driver selection may also be used. The plotter supports:
            HPGL-L (HP 7595, HP 7580B, HP 7585B), HPGL-S (HP 7440), HPGL/2
(HP 7600), and HPGL/RTL (HP 650C) formats. For a more complete
list of supported HPGL models, refer to the User's Guide,
            Appendix D.

B. For AutoCAD 12 or 13 (DOS, Windows or Windows NT):

      1. Drivers and documentation are available on the CalComp Web Site
(http://www.calcomp.com). The files are self-extracting. Once downloaded,
simply type the file name, and it will self-extract, producing the documentation
                and driver files.

            	a. File name: PLPCCGUI.EXE for AutoCAD 12 or 13 DOS or
                       Windows (3.x, 95, or NT).

NOTE: Your plotter MUST have Firmware level 2.64 or higher to operate
correctly with this driver. If it does not have this firmware,
either make arrangements with CalComp for a firmware upgrade,
or download the driver PLPCCWIN.EXE. This is the version
5.6 driver, which has fewer features, but can operate your
                                    plotter using older firmware.

If you are not certain what firmware level is installed on your plotter, then

C. For AutoCAD 14 Windows 95 or Windows NT):

      1. Use the ADI driver that comes with your AutoCAD program. However, if you
experience difficulty with certain pen commands, you may download
and use the file PLPCCGUI.EXE. Drivers and documentation are
available on the CalComp website (http://www.calcomp.com).
