Setup AutoCAD 12, 13 for Windows With the CCL600.
A. Use the CCL600 Windows Driver.
1. In Windows, from Program Manager: double-click on Main, double-
click on Control Panel, double-click on Printers.
2. Windows will display the Printers dialog box. From the list of
installed printers, select the CalComp CCL600 Windows Driver. If
the driver is not listed, then the driver is not installed.
Install the driver, as described below:
a. Place the CalComp CCL600 driver diskette into the floppy
drive, A: or B:.
b. Click on the button: Add.
c. A menu will highlight: Install Unlisted or Updated Printer.
Click on the button: Install. Type the correct drive that
the diskette was installed (A:\ or B:\) and click on
button: OK.
d. The Add Unlisted or Updated Printer dialogue box appears
with the printer CalComp CCL600 listed. Click on the
button: OK.
e. When the driver has finished installing, Windows returns to
the Printers dialog box.
3. Click on the button: Set As Default Printer.
Make sure that there is no X in the box that says: Use Print
Manager.
4. Click on the button: Connect. Set the Transmission Retry value to
720. Click on the button: OK.
5. Click on the button: Setup. Select the appropriate paper size and
paper source.
6. Click on the button: OK. Close Printers. Close the Control Panel.
7. Start AutoCAD 12 or 13 for Windows.
8. Configure AutoCAD 12 or 13 for Windows.
a. At the command prompt in AutoCAD 12 or 13 for Windows, type
CONFIG.
b. At the Configuration Menu, choose Configure Plotter.
c. Choose Add a plotter configuration.
d. Choose System Printer ADI driver.
e. The driver will give a choice regarding dithering:
i. Choose Pure Colors if all colors are to be output as
black.
ii. Choose Dithered Colors if all colors are to be
converted to gray scale.
f. In all other cases, choose the defaults when configuring
the ADI driver.
g. Enter Description of Plotter = CalComp CCL600 System
Printer.
h. Exit to Configuration Menu. Exit to Drawing Editor. Keep
Configuration Changes=Yes.
9. Bring up a test file for plotting.
10. Type Plot at the command prompt to plot the drawing.
11. Click on OK when all of the other parameters are set up.
