What driver to use for their system or application.

A. For all files listed below with extensions of ZIP, use PKUNZIP version
2.04G, available on the CalComp Web Site http://www.calcomp.com, file
name PKZ204G.EXE) to unzip the file. Once the pkz204g.exe file has
been downloaded, type at the DOS prompt: PKZ204G. (This will create the
pkunzip program). Then type at the DOS prompt: PKUNZIP file (to unzip
the file). Copy the file to the appropriate directory.
1. For AutoCAD 10/DOS or 11/DOS, use the CCL600 Protected Mode ADI
driver. On the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com), the
file name is CCL-386.ZIP. The README.TXT file, once unzipped
from the ZIP file, contains the necessary setup information.
2. For AutoCAD 12/DOS or 13/DOS, use the CalComp CCL600 PostScript
Printer Driver (AutoCAD ADI Driver). On the CalComp Website
(http://www.calcomp.com), this file name is CCL-ACAD.EXE.
The file is self-extracting. At the DOS prompt, type CCL-ACAD.
The README.TXT file, once extracted from the EXE file, contains the necessary setup information.
3. For AutoCAD 12/WIN executing Windows 3.x, use either the
CCL 600ES Windows Driver or the AutoCAD System Printer ADI Driver
Update. On the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com), these
file names are CLES-WIN.ZIP and PLSYS.ZIP, respectively. The
READWIN.TXT and README files,once unzipped from the ZIP file,
contains the necessary setup information.
4. For AutoCAD 13/WIN executing Windows 3.x, use the CCL 600ES
Windows Driver. On the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com)
the file name is CLES-WIN.ZIP. The READWIN.TXT file, once unzipped
from the ZIP file, contains the necessary setup information.
5. For Windows-based software, use the CCL 600ES Windows driver.
On the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com), the file name is CLES-WIN.ZIP. The READWIN.TXT file, once unzipped from the ZIP file, contains the necessary setup information.
a. If using PageMaker 5.0 for windows: Use the version 4 PPD
file on the Calcomp Website (http://www.calcomp.com). This
file name is CLES-PPD.ZIP. The PPD-RME.TXT file, once
unzipped from the zip file, contains the necessary setup information.
6. For Windows 95 based software, including AutoCAD 12/WIN and
AutoCAD 13/WIN, use the Windows 95 printer drivers. On the
CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com) the file name is
WIN95PRN.EXE. The file is self-extracting. At the DOS prompt,
type WIN95PRN. The README.TXT file, once extracted from the
EXE file, contains the necessary setup information.
a. If using PageMaker 5.0 for windows: Use the version 4 PPD
file on the Calcomp Website (http://www.calcomp.com).
This file name is CLES-PPD.ZIP.The PPD-RME.TXT file, once
unzipped from the zip file, contains the necessary setup information.
7. For Windows NT-based software, use the CCL600 Windows NT driver.
On the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com) this file name is:

NT351X86.EXE for Win NT 3.51 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from hard disk.
NT351D86.EXE for Win NT 3.51 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from floppy diskette.
NT40X86.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from hard disk.
NT40D86.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on a PC/compatable
for installing driver from floppy diskette.
NT40AL.EXE for Win NT 4.0 on DEC/Alpha.
a. The file is self-extracting. At the DOS prompt, type the

8. For Macintosh-based systems, use the standard Laserwriter driver
that comes with the Macintosh operating system.
a. The printer is shipped with an installation diskette. If a
replacement is necessary, it is available on the CalComp
Website (http://www.calcomp.com. The file name is: CLES-MAC.HQX. Use the MacBinary file transfer option when downloading files for
the Macintosh. The file, once downloaded, is self-extracting.
Simply double click on the file name icon and it will create
the documentation and driver files. Included are the version
3 and 4 PPD files.
b. If using Aldus software, then versions 3 and 4 PPD files
are available from the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com).
The file name is: CLES-PPD.HQX. Use the MacBinary file transfer option when downloading files for the Macintosh. The file, once downloaded, is self-extracting. Simply double click on the file
name icon and it will create the documentation and driver files. Note: These files are also contained on the installation diskette.
c. If using Quark Xpress version 3.2, then the CCL-ES series
PDF file is available on the CalComp Website (http://www.calcomp.com). The file name is: CLES-PDF.HQX. Use the MacBinary file transfer option when downloading files for the Macintosh. The file, once downloaded, is self-extracting. Simply double click on the file name icon and itwill create the documentation and driver files. Included is the PDF file and Read Me file.
i. If using Quark Xpress 3.3, this file is not to be
installed. Instead, allow the program to use the
information in the PostScript Printer Description
(PPD) file.
9. For all other systems or applications, select a driver which
either generates Postscript, PCL5 (such as the HP LaserJet III,
or HP LaserJet III Si, but NOT the HP LaserJet IV series), or
HPGL/2.
