Plotter does not size media, fans will not turn on with media in plotter.

A.    The fan(s) provide a vacuum for pulling the media down flat. Power to
      the fan(s) is controlled by the photo sensor in the left pinch roller
      housing.
B.    The plotter sizes the media based on what the photo sensor detects. It
      will pull the paper forward until the photo sensor detects the end of 
      the media.

C.    If using mylar or other media that is not opaque, the plotter will not
      be able to detect the media.  To remedy this, apply a strip of masking
      tape to the back of the media along the left side of the media. The
      plotter will then be able to detect the media when it is loaded in the
      plotter.

D.    If using opaque media, such as bond paper, the photo sensor is not
      detecting the media as it should. The plotter requires service.
