Plotter displays: PLEASE, CHECK DRUM/MEDIA

A.    If the problem occurs when sizing the media, then note the following:
      
      1.    The media may be too long. For the 2024 and 2036, the maximum
            media length is 64 inches.
      
      2.    If, while loading, the pinch rollers are not down, then the media
            will not move. Reload the media, lower the pinch rollers, and
            press the ON LINE button.

B.    There may be some jammed media or other foreign material causing the
      error. Perform the following:
      
      1.    Remove the media from the plotter.
      
      2.    Turn off the power on the plotter.
      
      3.    Examine the carriage area for any obstructions and/or torn media.
      
      4.    Manually slide the carriage to check for anything that might
            inhibit free movement.
      5.    Examine the grit drum roller area for any obstructions and/or
            torn media.
      
      6.    Manually rotate the grit drum roller to check for anything that
            might inhibit free movement.

C.    If problem persists, the plotter requires service.
