C. If the customer hears a grinding noise, a servo motor may be binding or
there is an incorrect power being supplied to the circuitry. It may
also be that the service (cleaning) station is mounted too high.
None of these are user serviceable. On Site service is required.
D. If the servo motor wiring connector cables are not making a good
connection, then they can be simply reconnected. The connections are
all under the right end bell. If the customer is proficient, then they
may perform the following steps:
1. Unplug the power cord from the plotter.
2. Remove the right end bell (there are four screws underneath the
right end bell and two on the back which connect to the y-axis
cover plate).
3. Press on each connector to ensure that each connector is tight.
4. Reattach the right end bell.
5. Plug in the power cord.
